Chamonix and the Aguille du Midi

April 16, 2013  •  1 Comment

It's always nice to take a trip up the Aguille du Midi in Chamonix.  It's ever changing with the different light, sunshine, snow and cloud cover. I was watching the weather and hoping for an inversion with some cloud low cover predicted, but catching an inversion is never that easy!  If anyone knows and good apps for cloud level, please let me know!  I've been looking at web apps for pilots to see if I can find it.  I will post if I find something of this sort.  Anyway, it was as stunning as usual up there and I did get a few nice pics...

Hi Melody

Sitting in temps of 33.C and humid in Houston with Fix and Six. Looking at your Du Midi photos in order to cool down. Seems strange, that I long to be there after being in Aberdeen and wanting some warmth, I now want to cool down. The photos are everything that describes the Alps to me. Superb.
