Last night I was asked by Televerbier to shoot the Verbier Charity Night up at the Cristal at Ruinettes. I didn't know what to expect, but when I arrived I was pleased to see how many people turned out. Benoit and his team put on an amazing spread in the Cristal with a delicious Oyster bar that made my mouth water. I did sneak back for a taster after the guests had disappeared for the charity dinner downstairs in the 'Le Self' Ruinettes restaurant;-)
More than 200 people each paying 500 francs to participate in a charity event turned up. Téléverbier director Eric Balet and his team are on their 5th year of the Verbier Charity Night and have never been short on top named Swiss celebrities. Swiss pop star Bastien Baker performed to the delight of everyone. There was a multitude of mobile phones filming him. I discovered his dad used to be a famous ice hockey player which I was quite excited about after having recently taken up playing ice hockey myself.
Skier X's Sanna Luedi was competing with Miss Swiss Romande 2013 for the attention of all the men at the Charity night. Sanna was looking very glamorous in a short electric blue dress and heels. I was happy Xavier de la Rue was there to have a few shots with;-) There were numerous big names mingling, many of which will be participating in Verbier's Carlsberg High Five tomorrow - an event which gives fans the chance to compete against the best skiers in the world, also to raise funds for the development of sport. I am the official photographer tomorrow too, so keep an eye out for Monday's blog;-)
